Lantern Wasp Trap
Reusable glass-and-steel trap that catches wasps and leaves honeybees alone.
The entry cones on this trap are sized at 9mm, which admits common yellowjackets and paper wasps but turns away most honeybees and bumblebees. It runs on a liquid attractant rather than an insecticide, so there is nothing toxic to spill, nothing to keep away from pets, and nothing that needs disposing of as chemical waste. Empty it, rinse it, refill it.

Using it properly
- Hang at head height or above, 4–6m from where people sit
- Away from flowering plants, which draw pollinators to the area
- Replace attractant every 10–14 days in warm weather
- Empty into a sealed bag; do not tip out near a doorway
