Why no insecticide

Three reasons, in order of how much they actually weigh. First, the people who most want to buy insecticide online are usually the ones who should not be applying it — the job is high, or in a wall, or next to a kid's bedroom. Second, consumer-applied sprays routinely hit the wrong insect, because the person spraying has not identified it. Third, it is a regulated product category that varies by state and we would rather sell a trap in all fifty.

What we sell instead is equipment: things that let you see what you have, protect you while you work, and catch wasps without a chemical in the loop.

Why we talk people out of sales

The identification guide exists because a trap bought for a bumblebee nest is a refund, a bad review and a dead pollinator. The safety page exists because a customer who falls off a ladder is not a customer again. Neither page is charity — they are both just the version of this business that survives contact with reality.

Who we are useful to

Homeowners with a yellowjacket problem in a garden. Beekeepers who want a suit that breathes. People who have found something in a wall and do not know what it is. We are not useful to anyone who wants a nest gone this afternoon from the top of a three-storey house — that is a phone call, not an order.
